Domestic Violence
The Domestic Violence Team is focusing on policy and system changes as they relate to decreasing the incidence of domestic
violence through more coordinated community efforts and effective monitoring.
This team concentrates on:
- developing policies and procedures for better reporting and response to Domestic Violence cases
- engaging victims and survivors in the Domestic Violence Community Council in various capacities
- expanding violence prevention curriculum into middle school for every child in public school
- and collaborating with Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Council on Services for the Homeless to increase affordable and available permanent and transitional housing within the community.
This team is part of the Domestic Violence Community Council, facilitated through Family Services, Inc. The Domestic Violence Community Council meets monthly at lunch time. Get involved and contact us for more information about this team.
