Activites

The full Healthy Community Coalition meets twice a year and members are involved in a variety of ways. Members volunteer in whatever way fits their interest and schedule. For example, you could help with a survey at a local school for an hour or two or talk to your doctor for 5 minutes about a certain healthy protocol. Many people join a team that interests them. Different teams meet on varying schedules, usually every other month or quarterly. Many members also advocate with elected officials on specific healthy policies through phone or e-mail contacts. Others volunteer to plan the Health Summit (every two years) or participate in a Community Health Assessment (every four years). Any Forsyth County community members who are willing to work for better health are welcome to join the Coalition.
